Potter Space, a leader in the sub-100k sq. ft. industrial and logistics property sector, has welcomed commercial property agents to the launch of the first phase of their proposed £18M expansion at their Droitwich site in order to meet growing demand in the market.
This first phase of the development comprises of four units. These range in size from 22,000 – 30,500 sq. ft. occupying a total of 105,000 sq. ft., and will bring the footprint of the Droitwich site to 400,000 sq. ft.
Sustainability has been built into the new units, with each on track to receive a BREEAM ‘very good’ rating. Solar panels, LED lighting and other sustainability measures have also been factored into the builds by Potter Space. Businesses already calling the location home include Akzo Nobel, Volker Laser and Bowker Group.
The initial phase of the development is part of a long-term plan to double the size of the Droitwich business park which has easy access to Birmingham, Nottingham and Worcestershire, as well as the M40, M5 and M6 motorways. Potter Space Droitwich is an ideal strategic location for businesses looking for industrial and logistics space in the West Midlands region.
Jason Rockett, managing director at Potter Space, said: “Extensive research has shown there is a lack of supply in the Droitwich area that has led to pent up demand for space, which is why we are investing in this location. Our site is currently fully let, with our existing customers keen to expand their presence and new customers looking to relocate to Potter Space Droitwich.
“The agent launch event was a great opportunity to show agents around the first of our two new units which have already attracted the attention of potential customers. They were able to see first-hand the excellent standards that our construction team are working to throughout this project.”
The first two units currently under construction are due for completion in Spring 2023.
