We were thrilled to take part in the UKWA’s Around the Warehouses in 80 Visits, a national ‘2024 The Year of Warehousing’ campaign to mark the 80th anniversary of the UK Warehousing Association (UKWA).
The visit to our Droitwich Park was number 58 of the national tour which aims to showcase this important – and often underappreciated – sector.
The goal of the year long campaign is to turn the spotlight onto one of the fastest growing, yet least understood sectors in the UK. This is partly because people rarely see what happens inside these buildings, which contribute huge value to the UK economy.
The day kicked off with the arrival of the UKWA CEO Clare Bottle in the spectacularly branded 2024 Year of Warehousing Tesla which Clare has been touring the country in. We were also joined by Nigel Huddleston, MP for Droitwich and Evesham, Nicolas Wright of Elmley Lovett Parish Council and Shawn Riley, Head of Economic Development, Wychavon District Council.
The Potter Space team for the day included Jason Rockett, Managing Director; Derrick Potter, Chairman; Jenna Strover, Head of Commercial Delivery and John Royle, Head of Construction.

Starting at the currently under construction unit 103, the tour called in on a number of customers for a brief overview of the varied businesses operating out of the thriving park including Volker Laser, Akzo Nobel/Carrs Coatings, Bowker Group and Falcon Flooring.
We also took in the sites for our new development plans for unit 120, which will provide 21,000 sq. Ft. of commercial space, and the proposed development of the Twiggs Land site to help boost the local economy with more much needed space.

The tour ended in Potter Space’s newest unit which will provide two further units with a combined total of 55,000 sq. ft. of additional space when completed. The group were joined by customers from across the park for a chat and bite to eat.
We also dontated the proceeds of our recent charity bake sale to the UKWA’s chosen charity, Transaid which included some generous fund matching from the UKWA.
